In the Beginning...

History was it was recorded in the Book of Letters.

The story of the beginning, as it is most commonly called, has been told countless times by the priestesses of the motherhood. In fact, this story along with others is memorized before the rite of ascension is granted and performed by a young novice to priestess.

Because such a story is so often spoken of, the first keepers translated, along with many other stories from the Father's Book of Letters, the words into a song and/or poem.

As the story goes, the Father created the world in seven days and those seven days he created seven Islands, one for each day. On one Island, his most pretentious and the place He called home, he formed from the ground a Keeper more lovely and graceful than any living thing. Although she had the Father to love and take care of her, she was lonely for a flesh and blood companion. The Father knew this for He had knowingly created his child to require a different kind of companionship than the most important relationship between creator and child. From her seed and the dust of the land he created the first Ryuunaka. The Father spent a short time with the couple then left them alone for a while while He took care of other pressing matters. One wrong choice led to many as they strove to prosper while lacking their creator's guidance. What they did not know was that the Father had been there the whole time. He watched silently and carefully as His creations went about their days. When the Father could no longer bare to watch his children suffer without Him, he swiftly rescued them. They were greatly ashamed at their failure to do good but it is impossible to do so alone. Unfortunately, their actions were not all ignorant and thus they were banished from the fertile land of the Father to live among the other six Islands. They could no longer walk and talk with their Father as they had once done in the Father's Island. The Father, who was not at all heartless, told them to fill the six Islands with children and He would one day again make it possible for them to walk and prosper with their Father once again.
